Terms of Use
The plain-language rules for using this site — nothing here replaces real emergency help.
Last updated: July 2026
In short
- This is an informational nonprofit website, not a contract for services or professional advice.
- Nothing here is medical care or a substitute for emergency services. In a crisis, call 988, press 1, or 911.
- We connect people with other organizations, but a mention or referral isn't an endorsement, and we don't control what those organizations do.
- We can't guarantee a specific outcome from reaching out to us, donating, volunteering, or attending an event.
- Donations go through Zeffy and volunteering through VolunteerNH, under their own separate terms.
- These terms are governed by New Hampshire law. Questions: [email protected].
This is not an emergency service. If you or a fellow veteran is in crisis, call the Veterans Crisis Line at 988, press 1, text 838255, or chat online. In a medical emergency, call 911.
Acceptance of these terms
By using vrahelps.org, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. We're a small nonprofit, not a law firm — these terms are a plain, good-faith description of how we operate, not an attempt at complex legal drafting.
Who we are
Veterans Resource Alliance is a New Hampshire-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 39-2275540) serving veterans, service members, and their families across New England.
What this site is — and isn't
This site is informational. The Get Help form is a way to start a confidential conversation with our team — it is not a guarantee of any specific service, benefit, or outcome, and it is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Nothing on this site is medical care, and nothing here is a substitute for emergency services. If you're in crisis, call 988, press 1, or 911 — don't wait on us.
Referrals and partner organizations
We may connect you with other organizations — for example, our partner Walking With Honor, or public resources listed on our Resources pages. We don't operate or control these organizations, and mentioning or referring you to one isn't an endorsement of everything they do, and isn't a guarantee about the quality or outcome of their services. We do our best to point you toward vetted, veteran-aware help, but you should use your own judgment with any organization we refer you to.
Donations
Donations are processed by Zeffy, an independent platform, under Zeffy's own terms. Questions about a specific transaction, receipt, or refund are handled directly with Zeffy.
Volunteering
Volunteer sign-ups happen through VolunteerNH, a separate platform (Galaxy Digital), under its own terms. Signing up to volunteer doesn't create an employment relationship with VRA. Volunteers act under VRA's guidance when helping with our activities and events.
Events
We do our best to host safe, welcoming events, including #VetFest and the smaller gatherings we hold throughout the year. As with any public event, attending is at your own risk, and we ask everyone to follow the guidance of our staff and volunteers on site.
No guarantee of outcome
We work hard to connect people with the right help, but we can't promise a specific result from reaching out to us, donating, volunteering, or attending an event. Every situation is different, and outcomes depend on many things outside our control, including the partner organizations we refer you to.
Content on this site
The text, photos, and design on this site belong to Veterans Resource Alliance or are used with permission. Please don't reuse them without asking us first — email [email protected].
Links to other websites
This site links to third-party services we don't control — including Zeffy, VolunteerNH, Facebook, and the Veterans Crisis Line. We aren't responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Once you leave vrahelps.org, their own terms and privacy policies apply, not ours.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site and our programs evolve. We'll change the date below when we do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire.
